Accomplish with a Smiling Heart

Being around nature gives us many positive benefits. It reduces stress, relieves depression and anxiety, and actually improves cognitive performance. So why don't more of us bring our laptops outside and work in parks or on the ocean more often? Screen glare. We bring our laptops outside, but after fifteen minutes of squinting to see what's on our screen against the reflection of the clouds, we give up and go back inside again. Thus, we're stuck spending most of our time between concrete walls. Well, no more. This invention is a combination of display and glasses technology that dims the world around you (reflections of sun, clouds, and trees) while leaving the light from the screen untouched. That way you can work effectively while enjoying the fresh air and stress reducing benefits of being immersed in nature.

Safeguarding Your Quality of Life And the Environment

It's a nice morning and you're about to go to work. You decide to shut off the AC and leave the windows open at home to save electricity and help the environment. Half way through your day at the office, a thunderstorm rolls through and water gets on your hard-wood floor, in your walls, and on your furniture. After a summer of this, the paint on your walls is peeling, your couch is musty smelling, and your floor is buckling. Should you have given in and just kept your windows shut all of the time, never getting to breathe fresh air and contributing to global warming? No! Imaginit Labs has developed a design for a window screen that lets air and light in but keeps water out. That means you can do the right thing for the environment, your wallet, and your house all at the same time.

A More Immersive Media Experience

This invention solves a persistent and nagging problem for tv and movie producers worldwide. With hand-built sets a thing of the past, and green-screen shooting the ever-increasing norm, how can we make green-screen shots truly believable and immersive? Even today, after about a million man-hours spent to make a movie, an astute observer can still tell the difference between a scene shot in front of a green screen and a scene shot with a physical set. The difference is usually not the CGI (computer generated imagery) of the background, but how the lighting conditions in the background don't match those of the actor. If a shadow is one direction and sharpness on the actor's face and a slightly different direction or sharpness in the background, our subconscious mind tells us "something's not quite right here." Imaginit Labs has designed a lighting system that can allow tv and movie producers to tightly match the actor's lighting and the lighting in the CGI environment. In what might seem light magic, it actually allows the studio to shoot an actor's scene once and change the lighting/shadow angles after the scene is recorded. Is there a flashing light on the CGI-wall that needs to cast a shadow on the actor's face on specific frames? No problem! Want to shoot the actor's scenes while their environment is still being designed and rendered? No problem! Want to create a believable and immersive experience for your audience without having to constantly adjust physical lighting in the rafters? Imaginit Labs can help you.

Painless Productivity

As an entrepreneur, trying to devise a plan to actually create a profitable company, without wasting years of your life and hundreds of thousands of dollars on things that won't work, is an incredibly difficult job. It's nearly impossible for any one person to make a working plan on day one, because it requires knowing the customer, the market, the channels, the solution technology, and the financials all at once. Junior Front-End Developer (40h/wk)

  1. Duties and Responsibilities
    1. Receive wireframes from the front-end designer specifying the look and feel of a particular user interaction on the tool.
    2. Implement the vision using HTMl, CSS, and Vue.js
    3. Receive guidance from Senior Developers and use the advice to become even more effective by the month.
    4. Other duties as assigned.
  2. Qualifications
    1. Must have:
      1. Ability to quickly and efficiently express visual designs in front-end code.
      2. Expert in HTML, CSS, and Javascript.
      3. Fluent English
      4. Emotional Intelligence
    2. Preferred:
      1. 6 months experience with Vue.js or React

*All positions currently support working from the comfort of your home. We may travel on a quarterly basis, and at the company's expense, to a common location for team retreats/strategy sessions.
